i am still around on my 4th yr one day at a time.
It depends on WHY they have the implant.
A young person with an "electrical problem" can get one and lives for years.
An older person with a weak heart can live months or years.
My brother got his implanted defibrillator when he was 15. He’s about to turn 18. It really depends on the reason why you have it and how old you are.
